Matthew is a graduate of Murdoch University, having completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) in 2024. He completed his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice later that year.

Matthew was admitted as lawyer of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2024.

He comes to Bannerman Solicitors after nearly 3 years working at the Family Court of Western Australia as an Associate to a Magistrate, Judge and the Principal Registrar. During that time he assisted Judges and Magistrates on a wide range of matters, particularly complex children’s matters, and conducted a comprehensive review of the recent amendments to the family law.

Matthew has also worked at the Supreme Court of Western Australia as a Registrars’ Associate in the probate and civil jurisdictions.

Matthew works in all areas of family law, but has developed a keen interest in children’s matters, particularly where parents or children live in different countries, as well as surrogacy and parentage matters.
